Sorry to be pedantic, but when saying Chateau d’Yquem without the “Chateau” part, it should be stated as simply Yquem.
“D’” just means “of,” and the people at the estate simply refer to it as Yquem (you can even see this on their website).

I got to try d’yquem 2016 at an event last year. I thought it was nothing special at all. What’s the deal with it? does it have to be a lot older or is it a food wine?
