the woes of the spice aficionado. you may think this clearance sale is cool, but it’s not because it’s reminder of the absolute state. it means it’s just too hot for the normies who either return it for a refund or don’t buy it period, so the store doesn’t make any money. there aren’t enough of us to carry the mainstream consumer market which is why you rarely ever see truly hot sauces at your average supermarket. it’s likely why those blue diamond ghost pepper almonds were discontinued and definitely why paqui ghost pepper chips were taken off the shelves. we’re left with ordering online only and paying high prices. i haven’t been able to find this sauce anywhere for well over 15 years. when it pops up at the grocery, it’s gone not long after
