A hybrid I made last season using 'micro yellow' x 'Abrikos'. I planted this seed immediately because it germinated in the fruit by the time I harvested it. and because the micro yellow was the mother, I only had a few seeds. The pollen father was 'Abrikos', a pink blushed hairy tomato. Since this is not a micro (recessive trait) I can guarantee this was a successful hybrid.

It has very open foliage and structure, relatively stout (must be part of the micro parentage), and seems a little hairier and have a blueish tinge (probably from Abrikos). Very excited to see the F1 fruit, I anticipate it will be a pink salad tomato type, nothing special, but I will get some great seeds for the upcoming season! My goal is to breed a fuzzy micro tomato, and I've some other breeding projects I hope to incorporate with this one.

Give crossing your tomatoes a go, it's a lot of fun!

I really like how the leaves are so slender.

Pinch off flowers. Needs to continue to grow root ball. Don’t let it flower until it’s been in the ground for at least two weeks
