Comment “send recipe” to get my Authentic Lebanese Hummus with Toasted Pine Nuts recipe in your DMs or see full recipe below! 👇🏻 I grew up watching my Great Aunt Vieve make this hummus at least once a week. 🍋 Passed down for generations, the secret is plenty of fresh garlic, bright lemon juice, creamy tahini. But that was just the foundation, the blank palette to what she would later paint with toasted pine nuts, minced parsley and scallions. 🎨 A true work of art, she taught me the art of eating with your eyes and I can’t imagine any better teacher. ❤️

Ingredients:
16 ounces canned chick peas drained and rinsed
¼ cup lemon juice about 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup tahini sesame seed paste
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons ice water
¼ cup parsley finely minced for garnish
¼ cup pine nuts toasted in ghee for garnish

Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth. Check for seasoning and add more garlic, lemon or salt as desired. To serve, spread on to platter and top with toasted pine nuts and fresh parsley. It can be stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
