Vortex crisps thigh skin on both sides, but sometimes I like to cut the extra skin from the underside and lay them out for little skin chips as a mid grill snack.

    Edit: I lied it’s not just sometimes…

This is pretty much the only way I grill chicken now. Love it

I just finished my first vortex cook and they did not turn out very well. Boneless thighs 45min cook time. They taste over cooked and had no real moisture in them. They where not fully dry though. Anyone got some advice? Full chimney of B&B.

Crispy or soggy skin? Can never get them very crispy even with vortex.

The Vortex is the best accessory for the Kettle by far. Love that thing.

I vortex but my grate has the removable center. How long does the one piece hold up to vortexing?

2 baskets do the same as a vortex btw to anybody wondering and not looking to spend extra on that attachment

I think drums are my favorite on the vortex.
