Recently moved to another house and saw this cracks around my egg. Can this be fixable or do i need to get a new egg. I’m not the original owner and don’t know if it has warranty. Can high temp cement work?

The crack can be seen inside

Mine has been cracked for over 10 years. No problem.

Just keep an eye on FB, Craigslist etc for bottoms or just a cheap egg.
That’s a damn shame. Might wanna make a kinda liner inside with sheet metal and make sure it’s not on wood in case it breaks while you’re throwing horseshoes and catches your deck on fire. Safety first!

Another idea…you can buy a tube of high temp “caulking” like you’d use to fill mortar cracks in your fireplace and squirt it in both sides. The heat bonds and hardens it. Worked great around loose bricks in my indoor fireplace place. Home Depot has it. Duct tape won’t do it! Ha!
