Alessandro Motta, a Roman native who moved to Australia at age 12, started Casa Motta from a deep nostalgia for the buffalo mozzarella of his youth. After years of trial and error and a few destroyed stovetops – he mastered the art of making fresh, Italian-style cheese.

His handcrafted fior di latte and buffalo mozzarella, made using traditional, natural fermentation methods, quickly became a local sensation. What began as a personal quest to recreate a taste of home has blossomed into a thriving business, supplying some of Brisbane’s top pizzerias and delis.
