Five-course degustation with Rhône Valley pairings to showcase La Vieille Ferme and Château de Beaucastel

River House will present an intimate evening of French food, wine and waterfront hospitality when it hosts the La Vieille Ferme x Perrin Family Wine Dinner on Monday 16th March.

The one-night-only event will feature a five-course curated degustation paired with wines from the celebrated Famille Perrin portfolio, including Rhône Valley expressions and the iconic Château de Beaucastel.

Spanning five generations, the Perrin Family is internationally recognised for producing wines of elegance, balance and provenance. Guests will experience the family’s winemaking legacy through a course-by-course pairing designed to highlight the character and terroir of each wine.

Held at the Gold Coast’s newest waterfront dining destination, River House, the evening will begin with Champagne on arrival at 6:00pm, followed by the first course at 6:30pm. Live entertainment will accompany the dinner, creating a premium hosted dining and networking experience.

Award-winning River House Executive Chef Grant Madwick said the menu had been designed to mirror the structure, balance and progression of the Perrin wines, with a strong focus on fermentation and layered flavour development.

“We approached this menu the same way the Perrin family approaches winemaking with patience, respect for ingredients and a focus on natural processes,” Madwick said. “Fermentation plays a key role across several dishes, from the fermented peanut satay with the lamb to the nuanced acidity and umami built into the gravlax and mushroom parfait. Those elements are there to echo the texture, tannin and aromatics of the Rhône varietals.” “Each course has been constructed to move in step with the wines, building from freshness and minerality through to depth, spice and richness, so guests experience the food and wine as one narrative rather than separate components.”

Designed for wine collectors, corporate hosts and lovers of French cuisine, the event combines fine dining with a social, connection-focused format.
