The Wild About Wine Trail takes you on a road trip through the Appalachian hills into a region where the climate and unglaciated soil create ideal conditions for Ohio vineyards.

In between trail stops, find more to explore throughout Guernsey County. Originally a car dealership built in 1920, Midtown Market will soon become the heartbeat of downtown Cambridge when it reopens with food vendors and co-working spaces.

While downtown, visit the local shops and specialty boutiques to find your new favorite décor pieces, on-trend clothes and souvenirs.

Bring your bike to the new Great Guernsey Trail trailhead in downtown Cambridge to ride along the paved rails-to-trails path.

Salt Fork State Park in Lore City

Get some fresh air on the hiking trails at Salt Fork State Park or bring the kids on the park’s Storybook Trail. Bigfoot fans can snap a selfie with the Bigfoot statue, then visit the newly opened Eco-Discovery Center to learn from Bigfoot about sustainability and protecting natural resources with interactive exhibits.

At the annual Ohio Bigfoot Conference held every May, hear stories from other Sasquatch fans and learn more about this elusive legend. Take part in family-friendly Salt Fork Squatchin’ hikes all summer.

National Museum of Cambridge Glass

Learn about the Cambridge Glass Company on an interactive tour of the National Museum of Cambridge Glass and see a collection of handmade pieces spanning from 1902 to 1958.

Or tour the glass factory at Mosser Glass in Cambridge and get a firsthand look at how artisans craft heirloom-quality glassware.

Explore the rolling hills and lush gardens at The Farm at Old World Gardens. Hike along 3.5 miles of scenic trails that wind through the 46-acre farm and stop to gather around fire pits and to admire the herb, vegetable and flower gardens. Stay at one of their cabins to soak in all of the natural beauty.

End your trip with a sweet treat! Nothing But Chocolate offers handcrafted truffles, nut clusters and other chocolate-covered treats. Another Cambridge staple, Kennedy’s Bakery has been baking cakes, cookies, pastries and more since 1925.

Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival at  Cambridge City Park

Come for Special Events

From June through September, immerse yourself in Ohio’s only outdoor passion play at The Living Word Outdoor Drama.

In August, head to Cambridge City Park for the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival to find juried artists and makers and Appalachian heritage art.

In the winter chill of November through the first of January, downtown Cambridge transforms into the Dickens Victorian Village, an old England art exhibition.
