Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen is preparing to open its seventh location in early March, bringing its signature healthy Italian fusion cuisine to Happy Valley. For nearly 23 years, Picazzo’s has carved out a distinctive place in Arizona’s dining scene by blending clean, whole foods with bold, globally inspired flavors.

What began in Sedona has steadily grown into a statewide presence, with locations in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Gilbert, Arrowhead and beyond. The addition of Happy Valley reflects sustained demand and a thoughtful approach to expansion. Managing Partner Chris Disney says the team had been eyeing another West Valley opportunity for some time before landing on what they believe is the perfect fit.

“It’s a testament to our dedicated team and our loyal customers that Picazzo’s continues to evolve and grow,” Disney said. “We can’t wait to bring our spin on healthy Italian fusion dishes to our new location!”

Picazzo’s was voted Best Italian Restaurant in the 2025 Best of the Valley Awards and Best Italian Food in the 2024 Phoenix Home & Garden Readers’ Choice Awards. Most recently, it earned honors in the 2026 Best of Our Valley Awards for Best Gluten-Free Menu, Best Vegetarian Food, Best Italian and Best Pizza.

At the heart of Picazzo’s philosophy is a fusion approach to modern Italian cuisine. While pasta and pizza anchor the menu, influences from Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican traditions are woven throughout, creating dishes that feel familiar and unexpected. Guests will find salads, entrées and pizzas crafted with nutrient-rich ingredients and layered flavors.

The entire menu is gluten-free, except for the original pizza dough, which is prepared in a dedicated pizza oven. In addition, Picazzo’s offers an extensive selection of vegan, vegetarian and allergy-friendly options, making it a go-to destination for groups with varied dietary needs. It’s a model that feels increasingly aligned with how many Arizonans want to eat: consciously, but without sacrificing flavor.

The new Happy Valley restaurant will offer the same welcoming flexibility as its sister locations. The 2,000-square-foot space blends organic design elements with modern touches, including a parametric feature wall and lush live plants that soften and energize the interior. Guests can dine indoors or take advantage of a spacious covered patio, perfect for enjoying Arizona’s mild evenings.

Daily lunch specials, available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., highlight value-driven selections of pizzas, pastas, soups and salads. Picazzo’s Healthy Hour runs daily from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring special pricing on popular menu items along with cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine. For longtime fans in North Phoenix, this new location means a shorter drive to enjoy their favorite dishes. For newcomers, it’s an opportunity to discover why this Arizona-born concept has endured for more than two decades. Learn more at picazzos.com.
