Enjoyed a bottle at Spruce in SF.
Sommelier recommended a quick double decant. Enjoyed the bottle over the next hour.
Lovely Pinot with layers of complexity.
Fruit-forward with notes of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and bright cherry, maybe some slight blueberry.
Also picked up some slight dried herbs as well.
Littorai is a solid Pinot producer and this is a wine approachable now, but one that can likely age for a while.
91 points.

I’d venture to say that Ted Lemon is more than a solid producer. His wines don’t really get a lot of praise from the big reviewers, but somms know his wines.
His pedigree is ridiculous too; it’s basically a list of who’s who in Burgundy. To be an American who was in charge of Roulots wines is incredible.
Only have had one Litorrai off point and it was over 10 years ago and Ted himself said he wasn’t the happiest with it because of smoke taint.
We were told to age their Pinots 10 years. The fruit forward brightness of fresh Pinots from Fort-Ross seaview is my kryptonite so this will forever be a challenge.
Was lucky enough to visit then in 2019. Too bad we don’t see them in Canada.
Got to taste through the ‘23 lineup about 6 months back. Definitely changed my perspective on American wine as a French obsessed newbie. Those wines are exceptional.
Great producer. His chardonnays are also excellent.
