An award-winning Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant is opening its doors again today (Tuesday) after a move across the city centre.

La Le, formerly nestled into the side and rear of The Phoenix Ale House on Academy Street, has taken up residence in the former Castle Restaurant premises on Castle Street.
A short time ago, owner Funda Gocuk, who runs the venture with partner Jad Hussein, spoke of her excitement ahead of the relaunch.
She said: “We’ll be opening at 3pm today, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone through the doors.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be back doing what we love best and to be part of the local community.
“It’s been a lot of hard work to get to this point, and we’re so grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve received.
“We can’t wait for people to come in, see the space, and enjoy what we’ve created.”
Ms Gocuk, who has stepped away from running the Phoenix bar, has given the interior of the former café a new look.

She shared some of the photographs with Inverness City Centre BID’s social media.
La Le scooped the award of Scotland’s best Turkish restaurant at a ceremony in Glasgow two years ago.
From March 4 to March 22, the new restaurant will open from 4pm to 10pm and from March 23 it will be open daily from 12 noon for lunch through to 10pm.
