I realized that my original post wasn’t exactly written out how I visualized it and that my concerns weren’t exactly an emergency situation lol. Other than that I did take some commenters advice and replaced the felt gasket with the fiberglass gasket

Save it from what? It looks fine to me. Firebox looks intack, just slap on a new gasket and youll be good to go.
Does it seal better? Also where did you get the propane kamado joe?
There’s a black sticker that goes over the gasket ends
