Which soul food recipe do you remember your grandmother making that few people seem to know today, and what memory of her, the kitchen, or that moment still lives with you now?
I have been looking for years for someone to understand what sweet potato pone is! It's not sweet potato pie. Does anyone have this recipe ir seen it on YouTube someone who really knows how to make sweet potato pone?
I’ll never forget my grandma’s candied yams — smelled like Christmas every time she made them. Nothing like it today.
Oxtail is good but very expensive Today.
Properly cooked. No raw meat.
🤩 Although I already know. But who really created our recipes?!! Since there's a bunch of hands that aren't ours, hmmm. Or, has the voice been stolen too??!! It is always us visually and someone else telling our stories. Or, our voice, but, with others inside the video. It was/still is labeled as trash/slave food, that we made into the best foor that everyone's now have their lil cooking shows about. Like we just arriving with cups & plates.

I cried watching this video. Every recipe I remember my great grandmother and great aunt making during any celebration and Sunday dinner. I myself cook several of these as comfort foods. My son doesn't like most of these because of food allergies.

Sir,I still cook my collard greens with smoke neckbones,i love my build pigs feet,right by their selfs with hot sauce 😋 oh my goodness, I could go on,but I'm 66,Ha,and a white woman, so another of this not only was cook by black ladys,com,on now, 😂😂😂❤❤
