



Terrible customer service. I went to prepare my meal and realized the mozzarella cheese container had busted and leaked everywhere. I contacted customer service and they reimburse me $0.12. ( 12 CENTS) They said that that was how much the cheese cost. 3 meal plan is $70 and that’s how much the cheese cost?? Seriously. That’s a joke. Will never order from them again

Last week decided to order because they sent me a discount- went to make my salmon & bulgur meal and there was no bulgur. The majority of what makes up the calories of the meal not even in the bag.

I self report when something is messed up and it’s usually in the $3-6 dollar range for ingredients that aren’t meat. Twelve cents is absolutely nuts.
Not HF but Uber Eats tried something like this recently with me. I was not having it and re-contacted them!
You cannot properly make the meal without the cheese, and it sure ain’t going to just cost 12 cents at the grocery store!
Why don’t you just do the self report option
I finally just canceled mine after several years because boxes kept showing up missing ingredients (or not showing up at all). Most recipes cost more via Hello Fresh than it would cost for me to meal plan properly and do the grocery shopping myself. Most of what I was paying for was the convenience. Once the convenience factor is gone, it isn’t worth it for me anymore.
What the agent explained is right. If you only report that one specific ingredient was damaged, they’re usually limited to refunding just that item. They can’t really address the inconvenience caused by the cheese leaking and affecting the rest of the bag.
Next time, I’d just word it differently. If you say the whole bag was compromised and you couldn’t use or cook the meal because of it, they’re more likely to issue credit for the entire meal.
Next time just said they fucked up your order instead of ‘there is a bubu in the cheese’.
Go and report every ingredient as missing, and they’ll connect you with a live agent. This one is AI. I did just this last night bc they didn’t include an essential ingredient that meant I couldn’t make the meal. They finally refunded the entire meal then.
This is apropos of nothing, but I’m super impressed that you know $0.12 equals 12¢. This does not appear to be common knowledge even though I learned it in 2nd or 3rd grade.
I got my first box, the potatoes were literally rotten the day i received the box, like parts were liquidity. everything in the bag was covered in the rotten potato juice and it smelled terrible.
I then noticed how many packages were open, as well as the seasoning packets did not have a proper seal so that juice got inside.
I went and canceled my account.
