Sedalia’s Oyster & Seafood named one of USA TODAY’s best restaurants of 2026
Take a look inside Sedalia’s Oyster & Seafood in Oklahoma City, named one of USA TODAYs best restaurants for 2026.
A new Italian restaurant has landed in OKC’s Paseo Arts District, the first since the Spaghetti Factory Restaurant that used to live at 3010 Paseo.
La Buca, 605 NW 28th St., Suite B, is also the first restaurant to fill the space formerly occupied by Scratch Kitchen since its closure in November 2023, meaning the space has long been overdue for some new life.
The new concept comes to the city from owner-operator Milan Karadzovski, joined by Chef Rachel Suitt in the back of house, with chef Ryan Murphy taking on front-of-house duties as general manager in the intimate Tuscan restaurant.
What’s on the menu at La Buca?
The restaurant itself is moody and romantic in nature, with lush velvet draping the walls, white linen table cloths and romantic lighting fixtures.
Karadzovski said La Buca is inspired by the hidden kitchens and spirit of Florence, with a menu — a collaboration between himself and Suitt — boasting Tuscan flavors crafted with seasonal ingredients, carefully sourced wines, and thoughtful techniques.
Guests will find handmade pasta and sauces on the menu, like the tagliatelle ragu, featuring a rich ground pork red sauce.
The Lasagna Florentine features spinach lasagna rolls with bechamel and pomodoro sauces and some specials will rotate monthly, featuring a signature ingredient, like the February fennel dishes, which include a Branzino offering.
Guests will also find signature dishes like espresso-rubbed filetto toscano and even a house staple burger. The barbabietole carpaccio replaces beef with golden and red beets for a play on the traditional thinly-sliced meat dish paired with a salad of arugula and oranges.
At the bar, guests will find a list of 100% Italian wines, and a full range of cocktails, including specialties like the smoked rosemary sour, a standout, alongside a selection of crafted martinis and spritzes.
La Buca will offer four distinct services – lunch and dinner, a late-night DJ lounge vibes with select menu bites and a brunch service set to begin as well. Regular service is Sunday – Thursday 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Late-night service is 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.
