How much will one of my tins be worth if I hand it to one of the Mississippi River barge operators to putt back and forth for a year?

249 days is nothing compared to vintage tins that are several years old. I used to have a few more in my stash and while I’m still holding on to a 2021 Pollastrini tin, I’ve not been overly impressed with others in the past.

The sailor made it around the world in 249 days, back in 2022, the 250 cans of sardines went on sale Oct 2023 and are still for sale.. I guess the market for repackaged sardines that happened to sit in a boat and given a 5000% markup is not great, noted.

I can’t see I wasn’t tempted with these, but then I realized half my tins have already traveled. The world to get to me anyways.

Surprised this isn’t a Fishwife drop.
These sardines have crossed more ocean in the tin than they ever did in life.
