We should eat and promote conventional produce, organic is not better

Hasn’t this been discussed to death?

In a select few instances, organic can be slightly better – either for taste or nutrition – but it doesn’t matter for the vast majority of foods.

Organic is absolutely way, way better outside of the US… but you probably live in the US.

No we should promote eating whichever one you want because too many people overthink their diet to the point of it taking over their life, and it’s a waste of mental bandwidth to get caught up in the minutia like this.

I eat organic because the farm down the street from me that I buy from at the farmers market only has organic produce. Your decisions don’t need to be any deeper than that.

I honestly don’t even think this s a “vegan” (or *plant based*) issue. It’s an *everyone* issue, and whether or not I was plant based, I would always choose organic if it’s feasible to do so, but if not, I’m not going to freak out about it. It’s still always going to be my first choice.

I honestly don’t think anyone has any business telling anyone that they “should” or “should not” choose organic anything. If you want organic, buy organic. If you don’t, don’t. People are grown up enough to make their own decisions on this.

We should promote not harming and not killing animals. After that we can proceed to a debate about organic vs non-organic once the animal slaughter ends.
