The restaurant group behind Sir Sandwich is planning to expand its presence in Tysons.
La Omri, a new Mediterranean restaurant and bar from IRG Concepts, will open in late 2026 at Capital One Center, filling approximately 7,500 square feet of street-level space across from Capital One Hall.
Described as a “hybrid dining and social venue,” La Omri will feature a “chef-driven” menu with “modern interpretations of regional classics,” a 24-seat bar focused on handcrafted cocktails and wine, and entertainment on the weekends, giving the nascent development a new nightlife option.
The restaurant’s location on the ground floor of Capital One’s office building at 7775 Capital One Tower Road — just down the street from Sisters Thai — will also make it a prime spot for corporate meetings and special events, according to a press release.
“La Omri will offer the experiences and vibrant atmosphere our associates and community are looking for,” Capital One Vice President Erin Mical said. “… The IRG Concepts leadership team [has] an enchanting vision for best-in-class dining, stylish design, and engaging programming that will elevate Capital One Center’s retail and entertainment offerings to the next level.”
Founded by restauranteur and CEO Ramzi Iskandar, IRG Concepts currently operates seven brands across the D.C. region, including Sir Sandwich — an eatery and hookah bar at 8496 Tyco Road B in Tysons — and the fast food chain Burger 7, which has a location at Idylwood Plaza.
The company’s most recent openings were Villa Yara in Georgetown and Caramella Cafe, which opened at Parc City Centre in Sterling early this year.
Iskandar and Mike Saadi, who will serve as the executive partner for La Omri, said Capital One Center’s mix of corporate and entertainment uses made it an attractive location for their newest concept.
“Tysons continues to establish itself as one of the region’s most dynamic and evolving markets,” Saadi said in the press release. “We are excited to introduce La Omri at Capital One Center and look forward to contributing to the area’s growing dining and hospitality landscape.”
More from the press release on what to expect from La Omri:
La Omri will operate as a hybrid dining and social venue, integrating a refined culinary program with a strong beverage and nightlife component. The restaurant will feature a chef-driven Mediterranean menu centered on modern interpretations of regional classics. La Omri will emphasize premium sourcing, technique-focused preparation, and elevated presentation.
A prominent 24-seat bar will anchor the beverage program, supporting daily traffic and high-volume corporate demand. The bar, a central feature of the guest experience, will spotlight handcrafted cocktails and a curated wine selection aligned with the restaurant’s Mediterranean identity.
Private dining is a key strategic element of the concept. La Omri will offer multiple dedicated private rooms designed to accommodate executive meetings, corporate functions, and special events.
On weekends, La Omri will introduce entertainment-driven evening programming, enabling the venue to transition from a refined dinner environment into a vibrant nightlife experience. This dual-purpose operating model reflects evolving consumer
demand for experiential dining destinations that blend culinary, beverage, and social engagement.
Capital One Center says more details about the new restaurant, including hiring initiatives and a timeline, will be shared closer to its opening.
La Omri will join a steadily expanding dining scene at Capital One’s headquarters campus. In addition to Sisters Thai, workers and visitors can find Stellina Pizzeria, the Tex-Mex restaurant Ometeo, Starr Hill’s brewpub and biergarten, food trucks serving the elevated mini golf course Perch Putt, and Wren and Naisho in The Watermark Hotel.
