Rochester, N.Y. — Some of Rochester’s crusaders for peace and justice are asking the community to come through for families in need as we head closer to Easter.

United and Healing Through Hope is once again teaming up with tops friendly markets for their annual Easter Basket Food Drive and volunteers are needed.

“Being a member of the RCSD, we see the poverty and the homelessness in our children and if you don’t think of anybody else, think of our children that are in need right now,” said Rochester School Board Commissioner Jacqueline Griffin. “So, please, like Mr. Harris said, dig deep, help our children in school be successful. Make sure they’re not starving.”

The food drive is happening at six Tops locations, including Henrietta, West Avenue, Brighton, Greece, Irondequoit, and Penfield Road.
