STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — An Italian restaurant is under construction at the southeast corner of Ohio 82 and Prospect Road and is scheduled to open in August.

The restaurant, dubbed Pasquale’s, will be part of the Camden Woods townhome development.

A walking path will lead from the restaurant and a second retail building to the 83 rental townhomes.

The restaurant will invite anyone — not just Camden Woods residents — to dine there.

Nick Catanzarite — of Cameron-Allie Development Group LLC, which is developing Camden Woods — told cleveland.com Monday (March 2) that Pasquale’s will feature pasta dishes and pizzas, plus a “solid” drink and wine menu.

“It will have a modern Italian feel,” Catanzarite said. “It will be approachable enough for families, but elevated enough for a date night or evening out with friends.”

Pasquale’s chef will be Marco Rossi, who is prominent in the Nashville area. According to his LinkedIn profile, Rossi is a personal chef and maître d’ at The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville.

Previously, Rossi was managing partner and executive chef at Tartufo Ristorante in Nashville.

Catanzarite said Rossi is not new to Greater Cleveland. He said Rossi once ran a restaurant in Little Italy where Michaelangelo’s now operates.

“He’s a very well regarded, award-winning chef,” Catanzarite said. “He’s originally from Italy, but has been in the United States for a long time.”

Catanzarite said the second retail building in Camden Woods is also under construction next to the Pasquale’s building. It will contain two tenants.

One of the second building’s tenants will be Balance Pilates. Catanzarite said Balance Pilates is now in the process of opening another studio in Avon.

The other space in the second building isn’t leased yet.

In July, Mike Catanzarite — Nick Catanzarite’s father and a longtime Strongsville-based developer — said the second building might contain a coffee shop.

The restaurant and second retail building will occupy a 1½ -acre parcel fronting Camden Woods.

The parcel will hold an outdoor seating area — with a fireplace, decorative fence and landscaping — for use at both retail buildings.

Camden Woods, which covers a total of about 32 acres, also includes a clubhouse, gym, pool and fire pit.
