How to serve an apple with a side of fingertip

  3. professorseagull

Peelers work pretty well, fuck that

  4. Lost_On_Lot

Or just grab a peeler and remove more than 1mm of peel at a time. Frankly, im not impressed.

  5. Distinct-Crow4753

Mmmmm i love when my apples have human skin instead of apple skin

  6. findallthebears

The comments on the og post remind me why I don’t trust people with anything

  7. batchef3000

Yeah? I could do that no problem, just don’t want to.

Delete the background noise, and that is ASMR gold.

  9. Strangerlol

Y’all wild with the shit talking. That’s some serious knife skills.

  10. SuperDoubleDecker

That’s cool, but I can do it with my kuhn in like 1/5 the time

    1/10th

Please. Can anyone else tell me how to make prep more painfully and unnecessarily long?

I respect the skills of the blade OP. But

Sweet. I need 3 dozen peeled and cooked for service tonight.

  13. Buying_Boots

This is unnecessarily dangerous for how long it took to peel. I think I’d lose my shit if I saw another cook doing this at work

  14. Legit impressive knife skill but completely unnecessary and impractical. The only real world application for this is for short vids chasing internet points

  15. aquequepo

Think I remember seeing one of the OG Iron Chefs do this in like 10 seconds at the buzzer with a knife as big as a sword like 20 years ago. Was pretty cool.

  16. BallDesperate2140

I was honestly waiting for the Rickroll.

  17. Morall_tach

“We need 200 apples peeled before service what the fuck are you doing”

  18. Any-Sample-6319

Yo show this to the fluted mushroom guy

  19. Little_Red_Riding_

That blade is razor sharp 😬🔪🍎

  20. Felisbear

HE’S NOT ALLOWED TO EAT IT WITH THE SKIN. HE’S NOT ALLOWED!

  21. kingofphilly

You always need to make sure you have the right tool for the job you’re doing. Guy in the video has impressive blade control but a chef’s knife isn’t the right tool to peel an apple, no matter how cool it looks.

  22. JelliedHam

Step 1: Have a really sharp knife

    Step 2: peel 12,000 apples a month

Step 3: keep knife really fucking sharp

  23. _floralprint

When I was a kid there was a rumor about a game called ” bloody knuckles “

  24. Indaarys

I wanna see all the fucked up apples he prepped before he got to this point.

Next: how to dice potatoes with a screwdriver

  26. Cheap-Warning-4291

I love watching knife skills like that.

  27. Plenty_Adeptness7631

This is just a demonstration of knife skills. Or maybe it’s being used at some ultra high end place where the apple needs to be perfectly smooth for presentation. Like everyone else has said, the potato peeler is the choice for the Everyman

  28. PhillyChef3696

I did always love watching Sakai do this growing up on Iron Chef, but yeah I’ll stick with my peeler.

  29. 0891_505050

Reminds me of how Japanese chefs hone/practice their knife skills on daikon.

Though a peeler does just a good and quicker job

  30. Upbeat_Main_7141

Or if your me: how to thinly slice your fingers like salami.

  31. PaleontologistAble50

That’s cool, but have you considered cutting chucks out of it and eating it off the knife while you call the youth “young blood”

  32. PunkNBeans

Mad impressive knife skills, bunch of a jealous mooks embarrassing themselves in the comments

  33. PawnWithoutPurpose

This is really stupid. It’s 6 times longer than just using a peeler. Completely unimpressed

  34. AMissionFromDog

“How to” … um… yeah, just do that.

  35. Own-Cranberry-8210

I gave myself carpal tunnel watching this.
