Got my wine mailer yesterday from Kermit. Glad to see he is just as chuffed in Berkeley as he is in Bandol. No one rubs it in quite like Kermit. LOL

He was the right man, at the right time, in the right place.

Unfortunately, his great writing convinced me that attempting to pursue a career in wine was a good move for a few years. So I love him and hate him lol

    I thought that was
    Ian Mckellan for a minute.

A legend right here. Kermit Lynch is one of my favorite importers to shop “back label” on. Rosenthal is up there as well.

I’m a member of his wine club. I love it. I get six bottles every other month and it’s a great way to explore new and interesting wines.

The only downside with this wine club is that it is bi monthly rather than monthly lol. The wines go fast lol.

Is that glass a white vouvray from that long ago?? That looks like madeira or a dark rose

Kermit is an incredible writer who speaks to wine’s place in humanity. His stories convey more than mere tasing notes and analysis. He speaks about people, places, vines and what makes the wines he offers special. Without, I might add, the virtue signaling that plagues “natural wine” influencers nor the bias associated with conventional wine media and its commitments to corporate wines and national distribution.

Never hesitated to purchase one of his selections. He knew.

Having never seen a picture of Kermit Lynch before this moment, why does he look EXACTLY as I imagined him?
