  1. Can we PLEASE stop calling things that are not steaks for steaks?

    Those marinated mushroom tops looks amazing, probably taste great as well, but for the love of all that is holy, it’s NOT A STEAK.

    Things are given names to distinguish them from eachother, and to describe what it is and/or relates to.

    If a person takes a raw steak, and cut it into thin strips, then dress it with a vinaigrette, it doesn’t make it a salad.
    It would be tartar. Because that is the name used for raw meat in such a culinary context.

    I love food, regardless of it being vegan or not, as long as it’s good. Most food that’s made correctly is good. But what you call it matters when communicating.
