Fabbrica is one of the most attractive restaurants in town, taking you to an Italian village with fresco walls, potted flowers in pink, and wooden tables. Veneto Bar & Kitchen

And of course, when you’re at an Italian restaurant, tiramisu is a must, and the one at Veneto is perfection! Everything in this place will transport you to the cobblestone streets of Italy, including wood-fired pizzas baked with 00 wheat, homemade pasta and risotto, and one of the best wine lists in the city. You should try the South City Pizza, which many do, as you’ll adore it! A thick Roma tomato sauce covers homemade soft pizza bases, which are then topped with meat mince, mozzarella, and three different kinds of mushrooms. You will personally love the Ravioli con Alla Zafferano as well.

Sorano

Named after Sorano, a town in the province of Grosseto, southern Tuscany, Italy, this restaurant is an Italian adventure born out of love and passion for all things handmade and aesthetic. Everything you will taste here is freshly made, right from the pasta to the cheese. They are famous for their Deconstructed Tiramisu, made with Kahlúa mousse, espresso sauce, chocolate curls, cantucci, Savoiardi biscuit, and marzipan coffee beans. A few must-try dishes include Chicken Milanese, Gnocchi Ripie, Antipasti Veg Platter, Salmon Filet, Sage & Passion Fruit Cured Anchovies and Smoked Tomato Carpaccio. The Tavioli con Quattro Formaggio al Tartufo is top tier as it is made using four kinds of cheese in a rich, buttery and creamy sauce with truffle shavings. The boards (antipasti and cheese platters) and burrata bowls are delicious too.

Fire And Ice Pizzeria

Since opening its doors in Kolkata in 2005, Fire and Ice has become one of the city’s oldest Italian hotspots. Its casual atmosphere, Latin Italian tunes, imported ingredients, homemade mozzarella, and a fine selection of wines attract regulars who come to unwind over delicious pizza, decadent desserts, and glasses of wine. Their tiramisu is, quite honestly, to die for. You will be astounded by the pepperoni, four cheese, and funghi pizzas. Situated in a large heritage building, this restaurant is draped with old movie posters and vintage food signs. Take a seat by the window, eat some gnocchi (light potato dumplings with tomato sauce and Parmesan), sip some wine, and be transported to Europe. They have a well-stocked cellar.

Marbella’s

Marbella’s has mastered the art of crafting a heavenly rum and coffee-infused cake slice layered with creamy coffee mousse and dark chocolate chips—yes, we’re talking about their classic tiramisu slice. Pair it with croissant sandwiches, sweet and savoury waffles, flatbreads, grills, meal bowls, and a variety of tea and coffee options for the perfect meal.  Inspired by the owner Nikhil Chawla’s travels to Europe, the decor is colourful, minimal and fuss-free. Ever seen a coconut tree inside a washroom? No, right? Well, there is one inside the toilet to retain that connection with nature at the cafe, Nikhil says. He has also restored a mango tree right in the middle of this garage-turned-cafe just to keep intact those natural elements.
