  1. My dad made this when I was growing up. It was so good on the second day. Usually nothing left for a third day 😊. He didn’t use as much sugar.

  2. If you cut the cucumbers in half and then use the mandolin, you have more control because the cucumber is shorter compared to the whole cucumber. Plus you can use the end cuts as a ‘guard’. That’s how I mandolin cucumbers then. Love this recipe, I’m gonna give it a try😎

  3. Yeah, I can attest to the mandolin and finger tips. 3 years ago I wacked the tip off my middle finger with a mandolin and it still feels strange.
