  1. Wait wait! Wait!. Cold Pan butter down AND cheese pulls are bullshit? In the same short? Did we just become best friends?

  2. Totally agree team butter all the way. I like mayo and seeing people use it in place of butter on a grilled cheese I was curious. Am I missing out on some glorious trick to a new and improved grilled cheese? Tried it…it was a NO. A big NO. Capital N, capital O and probably should have ended it with a "!”😂

  3. Just an idea, but if you slice them in thirds then, you have sticks to dip easier into the soup. Kind of kind of like french toast sticks except it's grilled cheese sticks. I hope i'm making sense. 😂

  4. Looks good and probably tastes good, but it's no grilled cheese. You grilled the bread and warmed the cheese. You didn't grill the cheese. People need to stop calling this "grilled cheese" when it's clearly not.

  5. I started making grilled cheese as a kid back in the 80s and this is the exact way how I would make them. Everyone always says their way is better but I prefer this way.

  6. I do the other way, where you melt the butter and add the bread to soak it all up. I’ve tried lots of ways it’s just my personal preference and my wife’s. I’ve been craving grilled cheese and tomato soup (the Pacifica soup brand in the carton slaps) more often lately due to being sick, and the swirling it in melted brown butter is just my favorite.

  7. I put a thin scraping of pesto on the inside of my grilled cheese.
And why would you use Mayo to grill your bread when you could have the wonderful taste of real butter?

  8. It absolutely amazes me how the nonchalant, screw the “I’m gonna show you the perfect method because I’m perfect” captures attention in 2025-2026, including my own attention. Somehow I believe you that you’re not uptight about anything and cooking in your simple kitchen which is in the background not as a YouTube studio, but also believe that those amazing shots of the soup and grilled cheese are yours and that you actually know what you’re doing

  9. Nah. The best grilled cheese is to butter and toast one of the inner sides (just one) first and then do what you did. 3 buttery toasty sides is even better. That’s how great restaurant grilled cheese is made. Probably worse for your health, but awesome.

  10. I am one of those "the sandwich is gone, so I am done with the soup" types.
I dunno, the soup just loses the flave when the compliment is gone.
I don't know how else to explain it.

  11. I don’t mean to be disrespectful when I say this but that looks absolutely…fucking delicious and perfectly made. Great job chef!

  12. I make grilled cheese this way too. It also works great for reheating leftover pizza; no oil or butter necessary, and skip the flip to the other side, obvs. The cheese melts and the crust gets nice and crispy
