Hello! Does anyone have tips on how to end the shell border so it doesn´t look like in the photo?

Thank you

Rotate the cake so that part is away from the camera 😉

I just sort of lessen the grip and flick it/tuck it down on the top of the last shell

Flick the end of the last shell in towards the center of the cake and either smooth down the end with a spatula or cover with berries. Alternatively, flick outward toward sides of cake and smooth with scraper, then cover sides with coconut, sprinkles, etc. or leave smooth sides as is.

I stop squeezing halfway through the last shell, bring it to the side and tuck it under the first one. After it’s had a chance to set up, I use my finger to tuck the rest of the tail

    looks delicious.

I just finished by stopping pressure on the back, and pulling it straight into the first shell.

I actually don’t follow the border and do a sort of variation. I kinda do the shells at a slant (big side on edge, tail side towards the centre). This way you don’t get as noticeable start/finish. Does that make sense?
