GoAra Wine Buyer Grants French ‘Kkomandri’ Intention
Only 3 Regional Wine Knights Held by Big Mart

E-Mart announced on the 10th that the wine buyer of the Go Ara liquor team was awarded the French Medoc wine knight, Commanderie du Bonemps, at the international wine fair “Vinexpo” held in Paris, France in February.
As a result, E-Mart is the only Korean hypermarket to hold wine titles in three regions representing France: Medoc, Saint-Temillion, and Sao Paulo.
GoAra Buyer received the title in recognition of its contribution to expanding the base of the domestic French wine market by expanding its premium French wine portfolio and boosting Bordeaux wine sales.
It is a knighthood given annually by the wine industry in the Bordeaux Medoc region to those who contribute to the development of the global wine industry, and is considered one of the most prestigious French wine knighthoods.
E-Mart will hold French wine titles in a total of three regions in the domestic hypermarket industry, from ‘Jurrad’ in Saint-Temillion and ‘Chubali’ in Sao Paulo to ‘Komandri’ in Medoc.
This is evaluated as a result of E-Mart’s contribution to the expansion of the domestic French wine market.
France is the largest country of origin, accounting for about 25% of E-Mart’s wine sales, and about 1.2 million bottles of French wine were sold at E-Mart alone last year.
E-Mart is continuing to expand the base of the wine market through the ‘Wine Market’, the largest wine event in Korea.
E-Mart will also hold a premium French wine discount event to commemorate the knighthood of “Kkomandri.”
“We have been trying to introduce various French wines to domestic customers,” said Go Ara E-Mart wine buyer. “We will continue to contribute to the expansion of the wine market by introducing excellent wines from Bordeaux and other parts of the world.”
