I have not tried this yet but I’m shopping for the ingredients tomorrow. A request was posted and after looking through recipe cards I think I found something similar.
Fortunately I have the walnuts already, but I’ll pick up the canned fruit and heavy cream tomorrow, and I’ll report back in a few days.

I have not tried this recipe yet, I will be shopping for the ingredients and with luck will have a report on the results in a couple of days!
This is a very pretty cake. I am going to try it with the pears and also with apples. It seems to be a flexible recipe – maybe pineapple with brown sugar and cherries, as well.
Gotta try this one
