I tried making cinnamon rolls in a slow cooker for the first time today and honestly didn’t expect them to turn out this well.
I had some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in the fridge that were calling my name, and I happened across instructions for using a slow cooker to prepare them.
The cooking process was straightforward…use some parchment paper to line the inside of the crock pot, and to use as a sling to get the rolls out at the end. Lay a paper towel or clean kitchen towel over the top of the pot, put the lid down, and cook for 90 minutes on high.
The rolls turned out really well, with the only issue being one was touching the wall of the crock pot and got a little burnt, so lesson learned…leave a little air gap!
I happened to be running the slow cooker off a portable power station (bluetti elite 400) while testing a few appliances. It pulled about 235 Watts for 90 minutes, consuming about 15% which wasn’t bad for essentially baking.
Curious what other baked things people have tried making in a slow cooker.

That’s a really interesting idea!
Guessing they were the Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls?
Insides fully cooked?
This feels like an ad for the power bank.
I’ve seen a post on youtube for a slowcooker, no-knead bread I really want to try…bread just still seems so messy even without the kneading
