This is our controversial weekly special at Paranormal Pizza, the Elote pizza. It features oil and garlic, house made cashew mozz, seasoned corn, red onion, diced jalapeno, cilantro, parm and a jalapeno lime mayo drizzle. Would you try it?

I’m pretty liberal when it comes to pizza toppings but no, I wouldn’t eat this.

  2. Looks and sounds delicious.

Corn is a pretty typical Pizza topping in the UK. Suprised it would be described as controversial!

A staple on a lot of Veg pizzas, or BBQ style pizzas.

I see corn a lot on pizza here in Germany. Never tried it but yours sounds incredible, I am a fiend for cilantro!

People who gatekeep what other people eat are weird. I personally am not interested in corn pizza but who am I to say whether others should eat it if they want.

pizza is simply a food made for transporting even more food into my mouth so yes, yes i would

I would not try it. Not because of the corn. But because it has some type of mayonnaise based topping. I’ve always despised mayonnaise, even if it doesn’t have eggs in it.

  7. People always look at me weird when I put corn on my pizza. Then they try it and agree it’s great 😀

Basically no… but I know that in Brasil they do it more often, here in Italy it’s basically blasfemy but sometimes in some city could be that you can find this kind of pizza with corn but it’s very rare and not Italian at all in my opinion.

Pizza is all inclusive. This was drilled into me in the 80s with my middle school’s taco pizza. There is a local place around us that does falafel pizza with pesto aioli and tahini, it’s phenomenal. This looks really good too.

I love a chipotle based pizza with roasted corn, peppers, and cilantro. Some version of that pizza is available at quite a few places local to me.

Super common in the UK. I find it works best on white / just cheese pizzas

Yesss. I’ve been making my Corn Gravy pizza for over a decade! It’s my favorite homemade pizza recipe ever.

I do a simple roux (flour, butter, soy milk) with corn and bell pepper (yellow, red, or orange), then top with field roast sausage and sometimes sliced onion. Spices include garlic, paprika, and oregano.
Sometimes I will also put arugula on top – depending on my mood the arugula can be pre-oven or post-oven. I’ve also made this recipe topped with chopped fresh spinach (pre-oven).

It’s been so long that I do not remember how I made up this recipe. If I had to guess I would wager that I was looking to create a new-to-me pizza recipe that did not have cheese on it. Vegan cheese in the early 2010s left a lot to be desired IMO lol. Your house made cashew cheese sounds dope.

I had never seen corn on pizza before until this new fancy pizza restaurant opened in my city 3 or 4 years ago. They have a corn pizza on their menu.

Your recipe looks baller. I would definitely try it and would probably love it.

Delicious. I’m Mexican and I love adding corn to all kinds of foods that corn is normally not found in 😭 it’s so yummy

This is a common thing in oakland and berkeley, doesn’t quite scratch the pizza itch but I still love it

Vegan elote pizza is incredible. I see decently often at some of my favorite “by the slice” pizza spots

Absolutely. I love a corn and cherry tomato pizza.
