Old Fourth Ward just got a new go-to. Close Company, the playful sister bar to Death & Co., opened on Nov. 6. First-come, first-served and unapologetically casual, the space fuses checkered floors and diner-style touches with modern Americana flair. The straightforward menu delivers cocktails like the Coconut Highball (Dewar’s scotch and coconut soda) and Champagne Lassi (Banhez mango, yogurt and bubbles) alongside bar snacks—think kettle chips, popcorn and house pickles—and indulgent pastry pockets featuring veggie curry, French onion, braised pork belly and even cinnamon apple. Steps from the Beltline, it’s casual, funky and made for lingering.

Buckhead’s dining scene is getting a sleek new jewel: Koshu Club, from the team behind Michelin-starred Mujō, opening early 2026 across from The St. Regis Atlanta. The intimate space pairs charcoal-grilled seafood and meats with elevated small plates and a killer lineup of sake and cocktails. Interiors, designed by Atlanta-based Smith Hanes Studio, feature Japanese midcentury modern style, creating a refined yet relaxed backdrop. At The Bank Bar, old-school Italian comfort gets a polished, modern rewrite. The upscale-casual spot from Joey Romano and Justin Lynch—also behind Industry Tavern—pairs a chef-driven menu with an impressive cocktail program, extensive bourbon selection and curated wine list. Inspired by chef Daniele Arturo’s Italian heritage, the kitchen churns out from-scratch pastas, locally sourced seafood and fresh, coastal flavors. Standouts include Atlanta’s best veal parmesan, layered lasagna, vodka rigatoni and tagliatelle Bolognese, alongside a prime filet, chicken marsala and a halibut Francese—a refined yet welcoming take on Italian-inspired dining.
