Every spring, Savor Charlotte, a two-week culinary celebration, transforms Charlotte into a full-on playground for food lovers. Think interactive cooking classes, deep-dive wine tastings, restaurant tasting menus, chef-driven dinners and cocktail collaborations.

Now in its fourth year, Savor gathers together the chefs, bakers, brewers, bartenders and culinary creatives who help shape Charlotte into one of the Southeast’s most exciting food destinations.

Come Hungry

The lineup shifts each year, but here’s a taste of recent standout restaurants and experiences to give you an idea of what’s on the menu.

Wine Wisdom at Supperland

Supperland’s interactive wine workshop is part lecture, part tasting, and all things delicious. Level 3 Sommelier Michael Klinger leads guests through the rolling hills of Tuscany via the glass, pairing stories of terroir and tradition with expertly chosen pours. A parade of delicious bites from the kitchen adds to the experience, while the wines do the globetrotting.

Uptown Fine Dining at Albertine

The Uptown hot spot is the latest from James Beard-recognized chef Joe Kindred and his wife Katy, the trailblazers behind popular Kindred, Milkbread and Hello, Sailor. A special event menu highlights contemporary Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a Southern spin (try the crispy pickled South Carolina quail appetizer), all served in a beautiful space that feels like an art gallery.

Creative Cocktails at Folia

Step into Folia and leave the ordinary behind. Tucked behind a garden-shop façade, this cozy cocktail lounge is the concept of Bob Peters (Charlotte Magazine’s Best Bartender 2024), known for crafty drinks that surprise and delight. Expect fresh ingredients, clever techniques, tasty small bites on a special menu and a vibe that’s both chill and special occasion-worthy.

Que Onda + Blue Door Tequila Dinner

Two powerhouse teams, one unforgettable experience. A four-course dining experience featured Que Onda’s bold Mexican street food paired with fresh bespoke cocktails from expert Blue Door lounge mixologists. From mezcal flights to tequila pours and dishes that hit all the right spice notes, this fun collab turns dinner into a party.

Sweet Lew’s Barbeque Smoke School

Ever wonder how the pros handle a smoker? Sweet Lew’s chef and pitmaster Lewis Donald breaks it down in an unforgettable hands-on class filled with great backstories, know-how and crazy-good barbecue. The workshop takes you through essential techniques (brining, smoking, timing), demonstrations on sausage making and spatchcocking a chicken, and ends with a feast of smoked meats and classic sides. A masterclass to feed both your belly and your barbecue confidence.

Plan Your Savor
