how does feel to drink out of? seems like it would be like drinking out of a bowl (not ideal)

  2. frank_ensmut

Is it as good as the paper say it is? I don’t want to sound uncultured but it seems just like a small ceramic dish.

  3. andrei525

Is it just espresso sized or larger like for a cortado?

  4. CageFreeBMW

I feel lucky if this is the new standard in espresso drink ware. I’ve made dozens of these odd, small, kind of shallow dishes in pottery classes while trying to make cappuccino cups. I’ll need to repurpose them!

The message on that paper is probably the most pretentious thing I’ve seen all week.

I’m confused – does this cup offer some sort of benefit, i.e. more even crema, heat retention/distribution, etc., or is it just aesthetic? I think I’d feel like I were drinking from an ashtray….

How can something be so pretentious while utilizing the “S” thing we used to draw in middle school?

I have my butler pour my espresso in a creek and I wait downstream with my hands cupped. The way our ancestors used to do.

I’m over here raw dogging 6 cup moka pot “espresso” out of a pickle jar.

I, too, drink from a ramekin.

Only thing that fits on top of my big ass scale and under my big ass PF.

Is this for soy sauce to dip your sushi in?

Well I think it looks fab and would consider if I drank straight espresso. I like Kruve’s products and as a company (when I smashed one of my imagine glasses I told them and they gave me a discount code to take some money off a new set – they didn’t need to do that).

Good, my dog isn’t a fan of his morning capp in my loveramic competition 5oz cups. Problem solved.

Looks like someone 3D printed a mold and then filled the mold with plaster…

Oh God, have we stooped this low?

Only $40 to experience how the first humans drank espresso?

Espresso is the new wine. Or high-end stereo. And these are the Synergistic Research SRX XL SC Speaker Cables of coffee cups.

So they basically took the idea of drinking matcha in traditional cup/bowl style and said “I’d bet this would work with expresso!” and took it as their own like they reimagined it or something.

It looks like a golf ball cut in half

This looks like something i put my chopped parsley in befor i use it

  20. SovietPenguin69

I’m surprised they’re cheaper than the discommon cups. Which are also really expensive.

I spent a fair bit on nice cups, imagining the look and feel of it, or the wonderfully jealous compliments showering upon me from guests noticing my creativity and enlightened sophistication. Then I realized, with irritation, that my cortado rarely makes it even ONE minute past the machine! I guess it’s the curse of those like me, with such high quality extraction paired with low patience for delayed gratification. With shame I must admit that I am the coffee equivalent of a two pump chump! 😫 I leave the fancy cups and the fine ceramic tiny-bowls to the rest of you high pinkied slow sippers 🤷‍♂️

Nice shape. Of course, as a ceramicist, I definitely encourage buying small business ceramic pieces if you can find them locally or online (local weekend markets and instagram have a lot of folks selling great stuff!). Supports an eager small business/local artist, gets you a unique, 1 of a kind, handmade piece, and are often pretty affordable!

  23. Hot-Parsley-6193

I made a dish just like this in a 6 week long ceramics class I took. I call it my jellybean bowl, but really it holds my night medications on my nightstand.

  24. A-Phantasmic-Parade

Kurve. I see the stylized “s” and I know this company is having a laugh. How much were these?

  25. Sad-Psychology9677

So is this some circlejerk joke that I’m out of the loop for? It’s.. just a ceramic cup (more like a little bowl), is it not?

  26. zynspitdrinker

Huh, seen a lot like these in the pet aisle of hardware stores, like for kittens and stuff. Never would’ve thought to use it to elevate my espresso consuming experience.

  27. Jpopbike

by the looks of it it’s probably too expensive for whwt it is, but it does look good.

Wouldn’t the wide aspect of the cup make your coffee cold very fast though ?
