Update: Darth Vader Mustafar Volcano Cake – LED Glow Reveal for My Son’s 16th Birthday 🎂🌋⚔️

It’s done. It came out as I hoped. Thanks to everyone who gave encouragement.

Triple chocolate three-layer cake with homemade Dutch chocolate buttercream dyed to look like volcanic ash.

I cut the fissure this morning, built the magma geode with crushed cherry/orange Lifesavers + red glitter sprinkles, wired up the DIY LED strip (Hobby Lobby light hack + bendy straw), and topped it with a 6” Darth Vader in full power pose (fist up, saber out, cracked helmet).
