i have always enjoyed spicy food and have built up my tolerance over the years. i wanted to share a tip for people who want to build up their spice tolerance but may not know where to start. i’d suggest getting a hot sauce of your choice and putting a dot on your favorite tortilla chip to test flavor and spice! if you are good with both, add more as you feel fit.
my verdict on the hot sauces i tried in the photo:
valentina: delicious! i could add generous amounts of this to anything… very tasty and has a manageable kick.
EY chile habanero: my favorite of the three! while very spicy from the first bite, it has an addictive kick to it. i was reaching for this one the most.
EY habanero & ghost: delicious but extremely spicy. i had two chips with a small drop on each and my mouth was numb.
have y’all tried these? what are your thoughts?

Valentina is always in my fridge. You should give the extra spicy variant a try if you haven’t already.
The black Valentinas is a staple in my house, I never go without.
It’s definitely hotter then that one, but it’s not crazy
There is nothing in this pic that’s hotter than Mama Cass.
I like all of those.
One struggle snack my (now) wife taught me was magic chips (these $2 ghetto asd potato chips at Walmart. They’re amazing) and Valentina. Hit the chip with some, chow down. It works way too well.
I always prefer spicier than Valentina, but goddamn it is a tasty sauce.
You walk into a restaurant with that lineup on the table, it’s your new restaurant. Solid.
No wrong choices shown.
I’m a bit of a tightwad, so the tiebreaker for Valentina vs normal yucateca/cholula/tapatio is the fact you get like a liter of it for the same price as 12oz of the other.
Black label is a recommended upgrade though. Its still not really spicy compared to habenero sauces, but it is noticeable.
