The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially begun and will run through April 27th this year.

Hot Honey White Sangria

There are tons of exclusive snacks and drinks to grab during this festival, so much so that it can feel a little overwhelming. If you’re visiting soon and don’t know what to grab, don’t stress, we’re here to help! We went to the opening day of the festival and tried ALL the new offerings to create our list of ultimate favorites — here’s our ultimate list of the best items from this festival!

You can check out our FULL list of reviews right here, but if you’re looking for what options are the best of the best, this is the list for you!

Carbonara Pizzetta at LA Style

First on the list that multiple members of our team mentioned is the Carbonara Pizzetta for $8 from LA Style. This is made with White sauce, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, and a black pepper drizzle, and everything blended together super well. We also really appreciated that the dough itself wasn’t too thick.

Carbonara Pizzetta

Only only minor complaint is that we would have liked a bit more bacon, but other than that, it was delicious!

Pork Chile Verde Chalupas at Paradise Garden Grill

The Pork Chile Verde Chalupas are available for $14.99, and this is two chalupas filled with pork in salsa verde, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and queso fresco served with Spanish rice and refried beans topped with queso fresco.

Pork Chile Verde Chalupas

These were incredible all around. It was an explosion of flavor without being overwhelming, and the pork was seasoned incredibly. The taco shell was also soft and chewy in the best way — we’ve never had anything like it!

Aguachile Loaded Chips at Paradise Garden Grill

Also available at this same location are the Aguachile Loaded Chips for $13.49, which are zesty chips topped with lime-cooked shrimp, fresh cucumbers, and red onion with aguachile salsa.

Aguachile Loaded Chips

The chips were all coated evenly, which is an impressive feat, and while this definitely does have quite the kick, the salsa verde, onions, and cucumber helped tone it down. We also loved the shrimp on top, though we were skeptical at first!

Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese at Pym Test Kitchen

The Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese for $14.99 here is very solid, but you’ve really got to love spinach and artichokes, of course!

Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese

The bread here is parmesan crusted, so it’s perfectly crispy, and we loved the garlic salt on the tater tots as well. This is heavy though, so don’t get on any wild rides after!

Chile Relleno Torta at Award Wieners

The Chile Relleno Torta is available for $15.99, and is Chile relleno, refried beans, salsa roja, lettuce, cotija cheese, sour cream, and guacamole on toasted telera bread served with fries.

Chile Relleno Torta

This was MASSIVE and the flavors were spot on. Our only complaint was that the lettuce was a little soggy, but otherwise, this was fantastic — the chile relleno was cooked to perfection!

California Punch at California Craft Brews

The California Punch returns this year for $9, and is a non-alcoholic drink made with mango purée, guava nectar, cucumber syrup, lemon juice, and  garnished with a mango chile lollipop.

California Punch

It’s delicious, it’s unique, and we love that it’s a fun non-alcoholic drink — any time we get a mocktail that’s not just lemonade, that’s a win!

Pickle Whiskey Sour from Peppers Cali-Ente

The Pickle Whiskey Sour is back this year again, thank goodness! This is made with Bourbon, pickle, and lime juices, and sweet and sour rimmed with Tajín Clásico and Tajín Chile-Lime Sauce, and garnished with a pickle spear.

Pickle Whiskey Sour

It’s unique, it’s refreshing, and it’s fantastic for those who love sweet and sour flavors together.
