• St. Patrick’s Day Dinner, 4 to 7 p.m. March 17, Buchanan-Galien Lions Club. Dinner pick up location is Buchanan Area Senior Center, 810 Rynearson St., Buchanan. Corned beef and cabbage, $15/person. Tickets available: from a Lions Club member, Edward Jones Investments, 209 E. Front St., Buchanan, or the Buchanan Area Senior Center.

• St. Patrick’s Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 17, American Legion Pulaski Post 357, 5414 W. Sample St., South Bend, 574-234-5073. Corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, sandwiches. Cost: to be announced.

• Soup Night, 5:30 to 7 p.m. (or until soup is gone), March 17, YMCA O’Brien Center, 321 E. Walter St., South Bend. The YMCA of Greater Michiana invites the community to join their monthly Soup Nights for a chance to connect with neighbors in each community branch. Soup Nights will be offered October to March.

• Thursday Burger Night, 4 to 8 p.m. March 19, Galien American Legion Post 344, 402 N. Cleveland Ave., Galien. Burgers, hot dog, shrimp, chicken strips, or sloppy joe baskets. Cost: $9 to $5. Baskets include fries and slaw. The menu may vary except for hamburgers.

• Fish Fry, 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 20, Crumstown Conservation Club, 59440 Crumstown Highway, North Liberty. Dine-in is all you can eat, a limited salad bar. Carryout: limited to 8 pieces. Cost: $15. Price is subject to change.

• Fish Fry, 5 to 7 p.m. March 20, Knights of Columbus, 61533 S. Ironwood Road, South Bend, 574-291-2740. All you can eat. Dinners include baked potato or French fries, coleslaw, applesauce. Cost: adults, $15; children (ages 5 to 13), $7; children (ages 4 and younger), free. Chicken nugget and shrimp dinners available. Dining room seating and carryout available.

• Fish Fry, 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 20, MR Falcons, 3212 Keller St., South Bend. All you can eat, salad bar included. Cost: adults, $15; children (ages 6 to 12), $7.50. Also available chicken strip dinner, shrimp and pierogi. Dine-in or carryout available.

• Fish Fry, 4 to 7 p.m. March 20, Lydick United Methodist Church, 26510 W. Edison Road, South Bend. All you can eat, fish and salad bar. Baked goods available for purchase. Cost: adults, $16; children (ages 6 to 10), $10; ages 5 and under, free. Dine-in or carryout.

• Kitchen Open, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 20 and 8 to 11 a.m. March 22, American Legion Pulaski Post 357, 5414 W. Sample St., South Bend, 574-234-5073. Fried fish plus full menu on Fridays. Cost: varies. Dine-in or carryout.

• Lenten Fish Fry, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 20, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 63568 U.S. 931 South, South Bend. Fish fried by Tyner IOOF. Cost: $15 per dinner, children (ages 12 and under), $8 on a pre-sale basis only. Drive-thru only. Purchase tickets after the weekend Masses or call the Parish office 574-291-3775. Tickets not sold will be available at the event until they are gone.

• Lenten Fish Dinner, 5 to 9 p.m. March 20, Elks Lodge 235, 3535 W. McKinley Ave., South Bend, 574-233-1139. All you can eat Alaskan pollack or eight-piece butterfly shrimp for $14.95. Both dinners come with choice of soup or salad and choice of fries or baked potato. Also New England Clam Chowder, cup $3 or bowl $5. Dine-in or carryout.

• Soup Night Out, 4 to 6:30 p.m. March 21, Galien American Legion Post 344, 402 N. Cleveland Ave., Galien. All you can eat, a variety of soups with garlic bread and crackers. Cost: $10.

• Fish Fry, 4 to 7 p.m. March 27, South Bend FOP Lodge 36, 25327 Indiana 23, South Bend. All you can eat. Fish, coleslaw, chips, roll, homemade dessert. Pre-sale cost: adults, $15, children (ages 10 and younger), $9. At the door: adults, $20; children (ages 10 and younger), $14. Carryout and bar available. Purchase tickets from active members (officers).

• Bake Sale, 8 a.m. to noon, March 28, St. Adalbert Sisters’ Auxiliary, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend. Lunch available. Homemade sweet/sour cabbage, Polish noodles, more. The Easter bunny will be there from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Bring your camera. Lamb cakes will be sold on a pre-order, pre-paid basis only. Lamb cakes, $28. Deadline for ordering a lamb cake is March 20. • Savor the Shoreline Restaurant Month, through March 31, restaurants in Southwest Michigan. Participating restaurants will offer a $25 meal option – either per person or per couple. Pick up a dining passport at the St. Joe Welcome Center, 301 State St., St. Joseph and complete it by dining at a minimum of five participating locations and turn in by April 3 for a chance to win a prize.
