any tips on how to improve?

i’m getting a lot more confident with tulips but obviously still need to work on symmetry and consistency. i wanted to try something new so i’m trying to learn how to do a rosetta (last slide is my first attempt) and i was told to just try and be slow but it just looks messy (mostly because my canvas is not great at all). any more tips on how to get the rosetta down?? thanks guys!!
