We’re nearing a week since our clocks “sprung forward,” Pembroke Pines.

Now that our bodies have adjusted, are you ready to make the most of every minute this weekend?

On the schedule this Friday through Sunday are several city offerings that’ll keep you busy, including a teens-only 2016 party, a first-of-its-kind golf tourney, several chances to work up a sweat and a Latin-themed gastronomic fun.

Teen Takeover

If you’re a high school student aged 14 to 18, head to the city’s 2016-themed Teen Takeover at Spring Valley Park — 1700 NW 160 Ave. — from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. DJ Gary Gore will spin throwback hits such as Drake’s “Views” while attendees enjoy free pizza, an inflatable obstacle course, yoga sessions, bracelet-making, mental health activities, raffles and more. Admission and parking are free.

Cassie’s Walking Club

Up your page and step count at this literary walking club at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bookworms will meet near the racquetball courts at C.B. Smith Park before indulging in their novel of choice. The club, part of Fort Lauderdale-based bookstore SteamyLit, will also track its walk on exercise app Strava for those interested in following their progress. Admission is free and open to the public.

Free Drive-Thru Food Distribution

The City of Pembroke Pines and Alexandra Davis — Broward’s District 7 commissioner — co-host a free food drive at South Florida State Hospital Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until supplies last. The event is first come, first served and only one family per car will be permitted. Admission is free with registration through the Resource Assistance Navigator app.

Sunrise Strides

Get an early sweat session in Saturday with Pines Running Co.’s sunrise strides trot. Runners will meet at Qwench Juice Bar at 7 a.m. before taking off on a 2- to 5-mile run. Post-workout, participants can enjoy a 25% discount on the protein shakes and juices as well as socialize with fellow fitness lovers. Admission is free with registration.

A Sip of Wine … A Taste of Heaven

The signature event of the Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce is back from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday with a tasting of some of the best restaurants in the area. Tickets start at $80 and include wine and cocktail tastings and food samples. The event is scheduled to take place at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater and parking is $10.

Ultimate Wellness Sunday

For those starting on their summer body, the Shops at Pembroke Gardens hosts this three-fold fitness fair Sunday at 9 a.m. On the schedule are a Zumba class, line dancing session and mat pilates cooldown by the plaza’s JetSet Pilates studio. Also included with admission are a live DJ performance, free food samples, discounts from event sponsors and raffle giveaways. Tickets are $2.50 to $5.

Passport to Chile

Take a culinary trip to South America this Sunday at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants — 10310 Pines Blvd. — from 5 to 8 p.m. On the menu for this wine pairing dinner are a passionfruit Caipiroska cocktail, tortilla de roscoldo, shrimp and tuna mariscal frio, costilla de res y chileno pebre and a hazelnut-almond and chocolate alfajor cake. Tickets for this 21+ event are $79 and must be reserved 48 hours before the event.
