Had a great time! Did a total of 28 pizzas in my home oven on a 20’20 baking steel, 500F. I kept the menu very simple, and did this one for tips only as it was my first time and I was testing capacity. Even did 3 gluten-frees!!

All-in-all, I had a great time & cook day was super chill. Prep day not so much with a full time job hahaha.

I’m also looking for an epic Detroit style pizza recipe. I have any tips or places that I can find one?

Doesn’t seem like the Gozney would be the best choice for DSP, but they turned out pretty nice!

Great looking pizza. I am from Detroit. Experiment with sauce on top of the cheese on a few.

Pizza looks amazing. Do you live up north? Ive been trying to source those tomatos for my pizzeria and cant find them anywhere. No supplier in my area carries them.

These look awesome and are pretty much exactly what I’m aiming for with mine. I saw you use crisco on your pans and that’s what I do too but if I could make a suggestion use the butter flavored crisco!! It’s actually fire

Do you make the pesto and vodka sauce too? Looks great.

Check out Paprod.com He’s a Detroit area dude that makes his pans from scratch that are quite affordable and of great quality. Just need to be seasoned. I’m using his stuff in my operation.

These came out beautiful! For the GF did you use the Caputo flour or one of the wheat free variety?

Do you do your gluten frees in a different kitchen? We had someone threaten to sue which forced us to change to qualifying them as made of ‘non-gluten containing ingredients’ rather than them being ‘Gluten-Free’ as it were (may depend where your based)

  27. elibutton

Wow looks fabulous! So overall it was a success? How much did you charge for them?

  28. 3rd_Coast

As someone from Detroit, I would fuck this up.
