Over the weekend, Bacaro made the unfortunate announcement that it would be joining the growing list of restaurants that have closed in Vancouver.
“A thousand thanks for all the love over the years,” shared the restaurant on Instagram. “Ciao, bella.” The eatery is also officially listed as “permanently closed” on Google, and its website has since been taken down.
Bacaro was best known for its selection of Italian dishes. Think plenty of pasta and Italian wines, all served up in the Fairmont Pacific Rim. It first opened its doors in 2021.
Many took to the comments to share how much they would miss the restaurant.
“We will miss you so very much! The whole team have been amazing, and we have enjoyed many an Apéro hour, wonderful dinners, and memorable wine dinners with our Italian Producers. Thank you for your support, your professionalism and your enthusiasm!” shared one user.
“Ciao team. It was always a pleasure visiting your spot and being served by you all! An amazing group at this location. Thanks for your contribution to the culinary scene in Coal Harbour,” added another.
“A beloved corner when visiting Van City. A Truly favorite. Will definitely be missed. Grazie Mille for all the great meals and memories! Ci vediamo, a presto!” shared a third.
