Mom n’ pop I worked for right outta HS made garlic bread sticks like this but it was round.. we coated the pan in house made garlic/herb butter(house mixed, we didn’t churn butter) threw a slightly stretched dough ball in, painted the dough with more garlic butter then covered in mozz. I always get one when I go back. It was called cheese sticks vs cheesy bread (garlic bread with mozz on top)

Don’t sleep on the cheesy bread at any place. There’s a spot by me that does a really good happy hour. You can get a bunch of toppings and a personal size like that for $6. Surprisingly good.
