Especially if it’s annuums. Last year I planted some gifted seeds last minute mid April, moved to greenhouse mid May and surprisingly had a great harvest (my season is short, usually ends by Sep-Oct).
Years ago I used to start chinenses in December.
In my opinion, starting early is a great strat, but only if you actually have enough space, light and know about nutrient needs.
