Recently saw these at my local Costco next to the Kingsford. Anyone here tried them yet?

Charcoal is back? Nice. I will definitely give these a try.

I like it except as a year round griller in the Midwest you gotta stock up because my store only carries it through the summer.

There was a similar thread about a week ago and it seems like the kirkland are a little worse quality than the kingsford professional, which burn hot and fast and produce a ton of ash.

The latter are nice for full chimney of lit coals, indirect cooking. I’ve been using them in the Vortex/baskets on my 26″.

At this price, a full chimney of the Kingsford might just be a bit more than a dollar a light.

I just got this and lit a full chimney Saturday. Start up was Smokey but once it was fully lit it was good to go. Made some indirect wings with a chunk of hickory. The outcome was the same as the B&B I normally use. I’ll have to try the snake method and see how Kirkland! Hopefully well!

Costcos in Scotland don’t get any charcoal. It’s so hard to find decent stuff here.

Honestly, wasn’t a fan of it when I bought it. Went through 2 bags and found it to be very sparky. I guess that’s the best way to put it. Lots of embers flying up from the chimney while the coals were heating up and it behaved similarly while in the grill. I usually love Kirkland brand products so it was definitely a disappointment.
