You’ve heard me talk a lot about Ristorante LUCCA’s Sunday Italian family dinner and happy hour — and they do a great job with both — but I cannot emphasize enough how they strike the perfect balance with their lunch offerings.
We constantly hear about how workers today don’t take enough breaks. We’re always cramming in more, answering emails at all hours, and generally not letting our minds and bodies recharge. You work hard, and you deserve time away for lunch to recharge for the afternoon ahead. If you can’t do it every day, once or twice a week will still make a difference.
Ristorante LUCCA has just the atmosphere and excellent customer service to get your mind off work issues. The second you open that front door, you’re transported into a high-end, relaxed atmosphere where no detail is overlooked, from pasta made in-house daily to the distinctive decor.
The lunch menu itself has a great mix of lighter options, Italian classics, and hearty dishes, including:
Tagliatelle Tomato Basil Sauce or Bolognese Ragù – $16Gnocchi Caprese with Tomato & Fresh Mozzarella – $16Apple, Spinach & Walnut Salad with Pears, Dried Cranberries, Pancetta,
Gorgonzola & Honey Apple Vinaigrette – $15Roman Porchetta Pannini (Porchetta with a Broccoli Rabe Spread, Melted Provolone
and Hot Cherry Peppers) – $18Veal Tips in a White Wine Sauce with Porcini Mushrooms – $23Pork Chop Milanese with Stuffed Long Hots – $27
No reservations are needed, but if you’d like to make one or explore the menus, visit ristorantelucca.com.
In addition, I’ll be the guest maitre d again on Sunday, March 22. Their regular dinner menu will be available, but they’ll also be offering their traditional Sunday dinner, which is served family style from 3-9 p.m. The traditional Sunday dinner cost is $49 per person, while children 10 and younger cost $19, excluding beverages and alcohol. I loved seeing all the families and listeners the last time I was a guest host, so I hope to see you there, too!
