
My Great grandmother’s oatmeal cookie recipe, written by my grandmother.
Oatmeal Grandmas (nuts)
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening (Bacon drippings)
2 eggs (beaten)
2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
2 1/2 t soda
1 t salt
1 t vanilla
1 t cinnamon
Bake 15 mins
Yields 4 dozen

My GGrandma came from Scotland to USA, I’m not sure if the recipe originated in Scotland or U.S.
