Quality wise , these almost circular cute ribeyes are top notch

That’s some top stuff. Husband did well. Scotch fillet (or Ribeye) is considered the best cut on a cow so cooked right it will be tender and flavourful. If anything it’s way too good for sandwiches.

  3. Perfect cut of meat for a sandwich. It will be tender if cooked right.

Aldi is generally good quality in my experience

Use Turkey for those sandwiches, and grill those beautiful steaks !!!

Looks good to me. And not a bad price for the quality. Enjoy some prime sandwiches.

These Aldi steaks are great, I get them all the time. Best price to quality ratio of any of the supermarkets IMO

I wish I could find steaks that nice for that price. And for sandwiches you say? Spoil me! I can’t imagine my wife telling me she wants to make me a prime rib sandwich.

That’s a wild deal. He may have found the best deal.

Welp, guess I’m going to Aldi tomorrow!

  12. Imagine being the husband here. Get a great deal on some nice steaks. The wife assumes the husband is an idiot and asks the internet to judge the purchase.

Fat is where the flavor lives. These look great

That price is crazy but the steaks look fantastic. I wouldn’t make sandwiches. I’d just sprinkle and salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder and grill em and top with a little butter while they rest after cooking.

Holy crap, I wish our ALDI rolled like that around here.

why don’t you trust what your husband says over a bunch of strangers??

  17. Hazeymazy

Well I’m glad you didn’t pick up the steaks.

Those caps on the ribeyes are huge.

They look delicious and I’m sure you’re in for a good sandwich. However, I believe you and I have a different definition of “cheap”. My cheap steak is like a $8 flank steak lol

The marbling is fantastic and those steaks will be great. From the label the pricing was $16.34/lb which isn’t bad. With today’s inflation it’s a mild deal.

  21. Katsura_Do

bro $32 for 4 ribeyes looking like that I would kill for those deals

Ribeye is the best cut you can use for a steak sandwich IMO. Fat doesn’t mean gristle. Fat means flavor. Ideally you would shave these steaks and cook them quickly in a pan with onions mushrooms and peppers. Enjoy!

That’s a hell of a deal. Too good for just sandwiches really. I mean it’s going to make an amazing sandwich but damn. They literally cut steaks specifically for sandwiches. I used to buy it all the time when I worked factory over nights. Come home and do a quick hot sear. Add a fried egg and fried hash browns on buttered toast. Best after work breakfast/dinner.

    That works out to $16.32 a lb….that’s a hell of a score.

“The steaks look great, but that’s awful high per poH my god it’s in kilos” – my thought when I saw the pic

  26. Open_Economics632

Where the hell are yall buying these from ??? I have never heard of scotch filet until the other day. This looks like the best part of the ribeye… and amazing marble.

Those same steaks at CostCo are around $100 right now. Husband better be getting his boots knocked this evening.
