New to the diet and just trying to figure out if I’m doing this right. Feeling full for sure. Wondering if I have too much protein with both egg and salmon.

Whole grain bread, goat cheese, smoked salmon, 2 hard boiled eggs, salt & pepper

Half and English cucumber and hummus

Sweet heat snack mix

    Good balance of things. I’d add one more nutrient dense vegetable on the plate. Leafy greens! Cabbage! Cruciferous vegetables. Something like that too.

    Everything looks great, protein fine. I agree with Planted that more veggies are the first change I would make.

    That open face sandwich looks delicious! I agree that more veggies would be good plus maybe a piece of fruit.

    I’m not sure what sweet heat snack mix is, but if it contains sugar or other sweeteners, refined flour, or ultra processed ingredients, I would skip it and add plain nuts and/or seeds instead if you need something a little crunchy.

    Sweets should be an occasional treat, refined carbs should be minimized if not eliminated, and isolated starches, emulsifiers, preservatives and other such ingredients should be avoided.
